Kevin De Bruyne has held talks with unnamed clubs in Saudi-Arabia over a move at the end of this Manchester City contract.
According to the paper, if the midfielder moves next summer he could earn €150m over two years. During the European Championships, the midfielder had spoken of how he would not rule out a move to the Middle East, given that it could have a huge impact on his family for years to come.
There is a personal link between the player and the league. Michael Emenalo is the current football director of the Saudi Pro League and was the man responsible for signing De Bruyne from Genk in 2012 when he worked for Chelsea.
Remarkably, the midfielder only made nine appearances for Chelsea. After 113 games for Genk, with 17 goals and 36 assists, his move to England resulted in a loan spell with Werder Bremen before joining Wolfsburg.
After 73 games in Germany for the club, with 20 goals and 37 assists, he joined his current club Manchester City. If this is his final season with City, he can build on an incredible resume of trophies and 102 goals with 170 assists in 382 games.
