In a recent update from Emirates Stadium, Arsenal has officially revealed Raheem Sterling’s new jersey number following his last-minute transfer in the summer 2024 window.

The 29-year-old English winger, who joined Arsenal on loan from Chelsea, has been assigned the number 30 jersey. Sterling, who was unavailable for Arsenal’s recent match, is set to make his debut in this iconic shirt, previously worn by notable players like Matt Turner, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Ryo Miyaichi, and Yossi Benayoun.

Sterling’s transfer from Chelsea to Arsenal was finalized on Saturday, August 31, 2024, in the closing hours of the transfer window. This move reunites Sterling with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, under whom he flourished during their time together at Manchester City.

While other jersey numbers like 10, 14, 21, and 31—Sterling’s former Liverpool number—were available, the number 30 shirt was chosen for the winger, signaling a fresh start in North London.

Arsenal fans are eagerly anticipating Sterling’s debut in the number 30 jersey, especially after the Gunners’ 1-1 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion before the international break. As the England international gears up to contribute to Arsenal’s quest for silverware, supporters are keen to see him in action soon.
